Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Solge, 68, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2016 surrounded by her loving family; beloved wife of Gene Solge, Jr., loving mother to Gene Solge, III and adored grandmother of Meghan and Hannah.

Betty was born in Philadelphia, PA and raised in Cherry Hill, NJ. She graduated from Cherry Hill High School and then attended Goldey Beacom College, graduating in 1965. Betty was dedicated to her position as an Insurance Underwriter at Wright USA. She was a member of the Talleyville mixed Bowling League, Talleyville Ladies Auxiliary, and South Jersey Bird Club.

Betty's greatest loves were her two granddaughters, Meghan and Hannah, who both brought much joy to her and smiles every time they were together. Betty was an avid Eagles fan never missing a game; and also enjoyed heavyweight boxing; she enjoyed spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking and loved to knit and crochet. Betty was happiest on her many trips to Wildwood, New Jersey.

Betty is survived by her husband, Gene Solge, Jr., son, Gene Solge, lll (Michele), granddaughters, Meghan and Hannah; her sister MaryAnn Korving (Arie), brothers Jim Fessler, Bob Peach & Joe Fessler (Gloria); nephew Stephen (Megan); nieces, Marianne (Sidney) and Ashley (Brad). She was predeceased by her mother MaryAnn Fessler, her father Nicholas Fessler, and two infant sons, Christopher Nicholas & Michael David.

Friends may visit with the family on Monday, May 9, 2016 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703. A Funeral Service and Burial will be private.
