George H. Miller III passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at UPMC Hospital surrounded by his wife, loving family and friends.

George graduated from Salesianum High School in 1972 and attended Mount St. Mary's College. He retired from Hopkins Seafood. He also worked at Blue Crab Seafood and Century Seafood. He was an active member of Talleyville Fire Company, Co. B, 4th Texas Vol. Inf. Civil War Reenactment Unit and the adjutant of the First Battalion of the ANV. George was known to many as an animal whisperer. He enjoyed Southern cooking, gardening, history, politics, football, baseball, bowling, golfing, NASCAR and getting together with friends.

He loved entertaining family and friends for get togethers. He loved his grandchildren, nephews and nieces and attended many of their sporting events and plays.

George was always there to lend a hand no matter what it was, a favor, an errand, provide a ride, help a neighbor with their lawn or snow plow their driveway, whatever they needed help with, he was someone everyone could count on. His favorite time of year was the fall and Christmas season. He looked forward to decorating the house and having everyone over to celebrate. George made the world a better place. He was loved very much and will be truly missed by Nancy and the lives he touched.

He was preceded in death by parents, George H. Miller Jr. and Patricia M. Miller. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Miller; son, Christopher (Sandi) and Christopher's mother, Linda; stepson, Vincent Kashnoski; brothers, Michael, Buck (Patty) and Jeff (Jen) Miller; aunt, Sheila Magill; cousins, Marylou and Pete Jones, Pete Jr. (Michelle) Jones, Marybeth Jones, Annie Lawson, Susie (Doug) Draper; mother-in-law, Gloria Christaldi; sister-in-law, Lee Smith; brother-in-law, Tom and Robert Christaldi; grandchildren, Landen and Hudson Miller; nephews and nieces, Mandy (Matt) Collette, Kyle, Ryan, Cody, Jaycee Miller and great niece Mylee Barrett, Christian and Carson Miller, Tommy and Felicia Christaldi, Austin and Ava Smith, Robert and Allie Christaldi; and our hairy children the cats, Caviar, Fried Chicken, Rango and Odie.

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. where a service will begin at 4:00 p.m. at the Talleyville Fire Hall, 3919 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803. Burial will be private.
