Glenn Leo Harmon, age 64, of Claymont, Delaware, formerly of Crum Lynne, Pennsylvania, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016 at Christiana Hospital after a long battle with cancer.

Born in Chester, PA on May 3, 1952, he was the son of the late William D. and Ozzilene Harmon. Glenn grew up in Crum Lynne, PA and attended Ridley High School. He worked as an Operating Engineer at Jones Lang LaSalle and was previously a maintenance supervisor at Brandywine Country Club. Glenn enjoyed fishing, watching Nascar and was an enthusiastic Eagles fan. He loved going on vacation with his family and was an avid Star Trek fan. Glenn loved spending time with his grandson, Adam and enjoyed doing activities with him during his illness. Glenn was cared for by his devoted wife, Donna Gillespie-Harmon and his loving daughter, Melanie Harmon.

He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Gillespie-Harmon of Claymont, DE, his loving daughter, Melanie Harmon, his son, Glenn Leo Harmon, Jr. of Ridley Township, his grandsons, Adam Whitten, Dillion and Matthew Harmon, his sisters, Georgia Delaney, and Laine (Ed) Harmon, his brothers, Michael (Bev) Harmon, William D. Harmon, Jr. (Lynne), 9 nephews and 7 nieces.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Atonement United Methodist Church, 3519 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will be private. Immediately following the service friends and family are invited to gather at the West End Boat Club, 500 West 2nd Street, Essington, PA 19029.
