Louis E. Klingler "Lou", age 62 of New Castle, DE died on January 2, 2017 at home.

He was a 1971 Graduate of De La Warr High School.

Mr. Klingler retired from Delaware River and Bay Authority after 39 years. He also worked for C.P.G Inc. Lou was a life member of Holloway Terrace Fire Company Station # 20. He was also a member of St. Gabe's.

He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Alice "Peachy", his parents, Earl H. and Mary B. Klingler, Sr., and his brother, Charles (Tom) Doemling.

He is survived by his son, Brian C. Klingler, Sr. (Stephanie); his daughter, Christine M. Subda (Chuck); his grandsons, Brian C. Klingler, Jr., Logan M. Subda; his step granddaughters, Alyssia Taylor, Izabella Willis: his Goddaughter, Mary (Cati) Sage; his brothers, Earl, Ken, Joe (Lyn), Hayden (Ila); his sisters, Robin Klingler-Walls (Rob) and Matianne Burke (Al); and his sister-in-law, Sarah Doemling.

Family and friends are invited to a Viewing at Gebhart Funeral Home, 531 Delaware St., New Castle, DE 19720 on Sunday, January 8, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, January 9, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. (st.jude.org).
