Lucinda Christine "Kris" Emory, 59, passed away Thursday March 30, 2017 in her Lewes, DE home.

Kris was born in Wilmington, DE on October 13, 1957. She graduated from William Penn High School in 1975.

Kris is survived by her father, Alvis Brown, the love of her life, husband, Charles H. Emory, III, their 2 children and spouses, Chaz Emory (Mandy) and Miranda Geesaman (Ben), and granddaughter, Avalynn Emory. Kris is predeceased by her mother Pearl Brown.

Kris will be remembered as a woman of faith, caring daughter, devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandma, and a true friend to many.

A Funeral Service will be held at Gebhart Funeral Home, 531 Delaware Street, New Castle DE, 19720, on Thursday April 6, 2017. Visitation will be held at 9am, where a Funeral Service will begin at 9:30am, followed by a private chapel ceremony at the DE Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making donations to the American Cancer Society, 92 Read's Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720.
