Lucy (Zappacosta) Finocchiaro, age 94, of Wilmington, DE passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 at her daughter's home, surrounded by her family.

Lucy graduated from P.S. DuPont High School. She was a homemaker and worked by her husband,'s side at Fino Repair in Wilmington, DE. Lucy was a parishioner of Christ Our King Church for 92 years, where she was a member of the Altar Society.

Lucy is preceded in death by her husband, Sebastian Finocchiaro. She is survived by her children, Verna Cavey of Denver, CO, Sebastian Finocchiaro (Bonnie) of Fox Island, WA, Daniel Finocchiaro (Patricia) of Bethany Beach, DE, Lucia Calloway(Darryl) of Millington, MD; 7 grandchildren, Alisa, Danielle, Matthew, Ty, Tim, Angelica, Francesca; and 1 great granddaughter, Mia.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 3200 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703 on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 11am. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 10am – 10:45am. Entombment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery, Wilmington, DE.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sunday Breakfast Mission, 110 Poplar St, Wilmington, DE 19801.
