Ralph Paul Lemon, age 94, passed peacefully on March 17th 2017.

Dad resided at the Delaware Veterans Home (Milford) for the past 8 years. He was born in Bluefield, West Virginia, and served in the U.S.A.F during World War II in North Africa and Italy. He was a kind and gentle man, who never met a stranger. Those who knew him, loved him
and have many great stories of his generosity and unique personality.

Predeceased by his wife, Mary F. Owens of Florida, he is survived by his son, Larry Lemon and wife, Jacque of Millsboro, DE; and his daughter, Ouida Carpenter and husband, Arlan of Laurel DE; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. He loved his grandkids and taught them all to playcards and always had sweet treats for them.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 2pm at Gebhart Funeral Home, 531 Delaware Street, New Castle, DE 19720, where friends may visit with the family beginning at 1pm. Burial will be private. Following the service, friends are invited to a reception at Police, Fire, Rod and Gun Club, 1 Glen Ave., Swanwyck Estates, New Castle, DE 19720.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Delaware Veterans Home Milford, 100 Delaware Veterans Blvd., Milford, DE 19963.
